It started out to be another great fall ahead of me and my fellow hunters as we drove up north in Michigan to share another adventure in deer camp as we have done for years and generations before me. My father, uncle, brothers, and two high school buddies were all packed into our trucks loaded full of our bows and arrows, camping supplies, food, and plenty of warm clothing patiently awaiting the moment we could all get out of the truck and free ourselves at last.

Deer camp and the start of bow season has long been a favorite time of year for myself, my family, and friends. For us we can think of no better escape then to all head out to the woods and spend time together in the cabin and out in the deer stand hoping we will get our big buck. This year was no different and our hopes for the monster of the woods were just as high.

After having a couple days in the stand I was fortunate enough to have killed one doe but had missed on another. I still had not seen any bucks. On the third day of the hunt I got a couple of smaller bucks to wander in to my stand area. Close to dark on that third night a old, mature tweleve point buck wandered in. As any hunter will tell you my excitment and nerves were flowing at a rapid rate throughout my whole body just praying for an opporuntity to get a shot off. The big buck walked around slowly and finally came into a clear and turn to give my a board side shot. I pulled back my bow and to my luck I had still not given myself away. I let the arrow fly and landed a great shot in the upper heart area of the buck, just below the top of his back. The buck took off and disappeared in the woods.

I relaxed and felt good about the shot I had executed. Now it was time to see if I had been effective and if I had killed the mighty beast. I waited until dark and then climbed down the ladder stand. I found the blood trail and knew I had made a nice shoot. I started off walking and following the trail.

I searched for a solid hour and could not find the buck. It had became clear to me the deer had cross a small creek that runs through our property and I had lost the blood trail. With the night getting late I decided to head back to camp and continue to hunt in the morning.

After a night of story swaping, my friends and I all headed out to find the buck. We needed to split up and search for the hopefully downed deer. After a couple hours of searching in all directions my brother would alert us that he had found the buck deep in the swamp area.

After finding the buck and rejoicing for the find and for the hunt of the mighty deer we loaded up the deer and took it back to camp to be showed off to the others.

Throughout this porcess of tracking the deer I began to try to think of ways in which the tracking process could be made more efficent. I started to wonder “what if I had never found that deer and he was still lying out there in the swamp?” I had heard many other stories of hunters never being able to track their deer down.

With thinking of this I decided to come up with a new way to bring tehcnonlogy into bow hunting. I arrived back home and began to develop a bluetooth device for an arrow. I figured that when we are lost we often will pull out our cell phones and determine on a map or gps system where we are located. Why cant an arrow provide the same service to a lost deer?

After long development and testing Arrow-tech has now been released as the top techonolgy for bow hunting. Our bluetooth device fits into any arrow so you do not need to buy specialty arrows, you may always shoot the brand you prefer. Our arrow have a bluetooth connection from the arrow to your smartphone and with the downloading of our app “Arrow-tech” you will be able to track the deer once it has fallen. This technology will save you time and energy on your next hunt and will provide you with greater advanatges and assurance that you will find the deer you worked so hard to hunt and take home.
